Over the past years, Wikov Group has grown significantly. We have expanded our capabilities, entered new markets and strengthened our position across two major areas of engineering: industrial drive solutions and hydropower. Today, Wikov Group brings together two strong divisions – Gear and Hydro – with a shared ambition to be a long-term, reliable and trusted partner to customers around the world. This evolution called for a visual identity that could express both what connects us and what makes our individual brands distinctive.
One Group. Two divisions. Strong brands.
The new brand architecture creates a clear relationship between Wikov Group as the corporate brand and Wikov and Litostroj as the principal brands representing our Gear and Hydro divisions. Rather than making the brands identical, the new identity gives them a common visual foundation while preserving their individual character, heritage and recognition in their respective markets. The result is a coherent system designed to work across the entire Group – from our digital presence and corporate communications to manufacturing facilities, products, exhibitions and international presentations.
Evolution built on heritage
The new identity was developed in cooperation with Studio Najbrt, the Czech design studio that also created the previous Wikov identity in 2015. The brief was clear: simplify the visual language, improve consistency across the Group and create a distinctive system capable of representing an international engineering group while respecting the history behind its individual brands. The new identities therefore share common principles in typography, colour logic and visual composition, while each brand retains its own distinctive symbol.
For Wikov, the historic figure of the man with a hammer has been strengthened and simplified. The symbol has been associated with the brand since its origins and continues to represent engineering know-how, craftsmanship and the human expertise behind our technology.
For Litostroj, the turbine symbol remains at the heart of the identity, while a new distinctive colour gives the brand a stronger presence within the hydropower industry. Inspired by the colour of Slovenia’s Sava River, Sava Turquoise connects Litostroj with both its Slovenian roots and the world of hydropower.
Wikov Group uses an abstract double “W” symbol, creating a distinctive corporate identity for the Group and completing the shared visual system.
A new expression of who we already are
The rebranding does not change who we are. It does not change our engineering expertise, our values or the way we work with our customers. It changes how clearly we communicate them. Our businesses today cover much more than manufacturing alone. Across the Group, our capabilities extend from engineering and design through testing and manufacturing to modernization, lifecycle services and long-term customer support. The new identity reflects this broader role and gives our brands a consistent platform for the future.
Engineering at the heart
Despite the diversity of our products, markets and companies, there is a common foundation across Wikov Group: engineering. For Wikov, it means Engineering the Essence of Motion – transforming engineering expertise into reliable drive solutions for industries around the world. For Litostroj, it means Engineering the Power of Water – applying hydraulic engineering expertise to turn the power of water into reliable energy. Together, these two worlds form Wikov Group: an international engineering group built on industrial heritage, technical expertise and a long-term approach to everything we do. The new identity gives this shared story a clearer voice and a stronger visual expression – while allowing each of our brands to remain unmistakably its own.
